Fish and Chip shop gets festive with battered quality street chocolates

To give customers a flavour of Christmas a Soho fish and chip shop has started serving up deep fried Quality Street sweets during December.

While many will have heard of a battered Mars bar, the new delicacy will attempt to take Christmas food to the next level.

Poppies of Soho is going to be offering battered Quality Street sweets to it’s customers from 1 December right up until 25 December.

For just £2.50, the London takeaway restaurant will be selling “lucky dips” of the deep-fried sweets.

Each Quality Street box contains 12 different chocolate treats and customers are guaranteed five different sweets, but there is no guarantee they will get their favourites.

The shop has said the current front-runner for favourite amongst staff is the toffee finger, followed closely by the purple one, with the Coconut Éclair coming in last.

The shop will be asking for customer’s opinions and keeping a tally of the most popular flavours, with the possibility of making any favourites a permanent menu item.
